    • Prepare Your Tools and Materials: Gather all necessary tools, including a tape measure, level, screwdriver, hammer, drill, screws, and a saw (if trimming is required). Ensure you have the door hardware, hinges, and any additional components provided with the doors.

    • Measure and Prepare the Door Frame: Measure the door frame to confirm that the full height doors will fit properly. The frame should be plumb and level. If adjustments are needed, use shims to ensure the frame is perfectly aligned.

    • Trim the Doors (if necessary): If the doors need to be adjusted for height, carefully trim the bottom of the doors using a saw. Sand the edges to smooth out any rough areas. It's crucial to measure twice and cut once to avoid mistakes.

    • Install the Hinges: Mark the positions for the hinges on both the door and the frame. Typically, three hinges are used for full height doors—top, middle, and bottom. Pre-drill holes for the screws to prevent splitting the wood, then attach the hinges to the door.

    • Position and Attach the Doors: With a helper, hold the door in the frame and align the hinges with the pre-drilled holes on the frame. Use a level to ensure the door is straight. Secure the hinges to the frame with screws, starting with the top hinge to support the weight of the door.

    • Check Door Alignment: Open and close the door to check for proper alignment and smooth operation. Make any necessary adjustments to the hinges to ensure the door swings freely without sticking.

    • Install the Handle and Latch: Mark the position for the handle and latch according to the manufacturer's instructions. Drill the necessary holes and attach the handle and latch hardware. Ensure the latch aligns with the strike plate on the door frame.

    • Secure the Strike Plate: Install the strike plate on the door frame, ensuring it aligns with the latch. Pre-drill holes and secure the strike plate with screws. Test the door to ensure it latches securely.

    • Finish the Installation: Check all screws and hardware to ensure everything is securely fastened. Make any final adjustments to the door alignment. If desired, paint or finish the door to match your interior decor.

    • Final Inspection: Conduct a final inspection to ensure the door operates smoothly and aligns correctly. Make sure all hardware is secure and that the door fits snugly within the frame.
